We were invited to share the airwaves with John Barnes on his BBC Radio Lancashire show to talk about the upcoming Lancaster Chinese New Year Festival. We also joined by performers from the Manchester Cantonese Operatics Society with a preview of their upcoming Cantonese Opera Gala at the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster.

Raymond Chan the festival director and Sam Moi Chan the Chair of the Hua Xian Chinese Society shared stories of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations and of the festival’s development with the new events being held across Lancaster and Morecambe thanks to the support of Arts Council England for 2011.
