Lancaster’s Chinese New Year Carnival was a full‑day celebration that transformed the city centre into a vibrant festival of food, performance, and cultural showcases. Taking place on Sunday, 3 February 2019, it filled Market Square and surrounding streets with international street markets, funfair rides, live entertainment, and a parade through the city centre featuring a Chinese dragon, Qilins and Shi (lion) dancers, alongside drums and live music.
