The Hua Xian Chinese Society has recieved a generous donation from Eileen McCaffery which represents a permanent endowment to the charity, allowing us to further our work in sharing both contemporary and heritage Chinese arts and culture.

The collection includes an extensive library of over 100 books and digital media of literature, documentary images and music. These cover a wide range of subjects from Chinese Opera, translated works of Chinese literature, handicafts to contemporary artists and recordings of folk and contemporary muscians.

These new items join our collection of other items on loan from private collections including clothing, paintings, cultural artifects, musical instruments and Lion Dance costumes.

We are incredibly grateful for her donation and are working to make these available on loan to the public as they are valuable resources giving insight into Chinese culture. If you would like to find out more or could help in providing a permanent home for our resources please contact us.
